Took upskirt photographs of six different women at different locations

According to court documents, Chiang stood behind a woman who was going up the stairs at Jurong East MRT station on Mar. 21, 2019 and used his mobile phone to take upskirt photographs of her from underneath her dress.

Six days later on Mar. 27, Chiang once again stood behind a woman who was going up the escalator at Singapore Expo and used his mobile phone to take photos of her from underneath her dress.

Chiang was caught in the act on Apr. 9, 2019, when he stood behind a woman who was going up the escalator at Sembawang MRT Station and used his mobile phone to take upskirt photographs of her.

When the woman felt something brush against her right inner thigh, she turned around and saw Chiang behind her with his mobile phone underneath her dress.

The woman confronted Chiang, who eventually admitted that he had taken photos under her dress.

The MRT Station Master then called the police and Chiang was arrested.

His mobile phone was also seized.

Forensic analysis of Chiang’s seized mobile phone revealed that he had also taken several upskirt photographs of five other unknown female victims previously.

Chiang could have been fined and jailed for up to a year for each count of insulting the modesty of a woman.
