In a news release on Feb. 22, the Police announced that three 15-year-old male teenagers are being investigated for mischief after spittle was found on the lift buttons at Rumbia LRT station in Sengkang.

3 15-year-old boys under investigation
On Feb. 20, the Police received a report that spittle was found on the buttons of a lift panel at Rumbia LRT station.
Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from Police cameras, officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division established the identities of the teenagers the next day (Feb. 21).
Preliminary investigations revealed that the teenagers had spat at the said lift panel on Feb. 19 at around 6:10pm.
Police investigations against the three teenagers are ongoing.
The offence of mischief under Section 426 of the Penal Code carries an imprisonment term of up to two years, or a fine, or both.
The Police said that they take a serious view of such inconsiderate and irresponsible behaviour, especially in the current Covid-19 situation.
