The race to treat COVID-19 is definitely in gear with Malaysia announcing today it had enrolled its first COVID-19 patient in a clinical drug trial led by the World Health Organization.
The same organization is also looking into the “worrisome” number of infections – 766, as of today – among medical workers in the Philippines and working with Health Secretary Francisco Duque to determine the cause.
Meanwhile, bubble tea chaos erupted in Singapore last night after the country dropped the ban hammer on a number of food and drink shops, cutting the public off from its supply of beloved boba drinks.
Indonesia continues to struggle to prevent citizens from gathering in large groups. A labor group has insisted on holding May Day rallies in Jakarta expected to draw 50,000 people.
