The very first Nom Nom Nom Food Festival will take place right outside Shaw House from July 5 to July 14.
It starts daily at 12pm and will end at 11pm or as late as 1am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
Food for every palate
The food festival is said to have something for every palate, with a total of 13 F&B vendors onsite.
If you’ve not tried the Impossible meat patty, here’s your chance to try Three Bun’s Impossible Inferno Slider (S$15), which has the vegan Impossible meat patty, some spicy roasted scotch bonnet salsa verde, a slice of cheese, some pickles and ketchup.
But if you want some real meat, Beef Bros offers halal beef cubes that come in flavours like Mentaiko Beef Cubes (S$15):
And even Mala Beef Cubes (S$15):
As the beef cubes are prepared fresh, be prepared to wait around five to 10 minutes for your order.
Bubble tea from S$4.90
To quench your thirst, you can try Ke Cha’s Taiwan Brown Sugar Flaming Crème Brulee Milk (S$5.90).
Or the Passion Fruit Green Tea (S$4.90), if you want to try something lighter.
There’s also Salted Egg Rosti (S$8) and you can have some add-ons like smoked salmon (+ S$4) from 6ixs Rosti.
Do be prepared to wait around 20 minutes for your piping hot and crisp rosti.
Affordable traditional food
If you’re sick of hipster food, then there are also traditional snacks like Tutu Kueh (5 for S$3) that comes in flavours like coconut, gula melaka, chocolate and peanut.
Or some Shark’s Fin Soup (S$2), which is most likely just starchy soup that resembles shark’s fin soup.
Room for dessert
For dessert, Churros Republic has the Cheeky Monkey (S$9.90), an exclusive item at the food festival, consisting of four traditional churros, Nutella custard creme, nuts, caramelised bananas, dark chocolate sauce, nutty cookies, icing sugar and a dollop of chocolate ice cream.
To wash it all down, there’s the Beer Gao (S$5), a combination of Guinness stout and Tiger beer.
If you’re here after 4pm, that’s when the happy hour starts and you can get your hands on a cup of Tiger beer for just S$4.
Carousel & carnival games
Right in the middle of the festival is a duplex carousel which is the perfect Instagram spot:
A ride on the carousel costs S$8.
If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, there are other carnival games from S$5, where you can win some cute prizes.
