Unwind with your crew and raise a glass to November’s hot new bars and cocktails.

November’s a busy period for most of us (before we clock off for the festive season), so it’s crucial to let our hair down. And what better way than to vibe hard at a new bar or try some fresh cocktails? This month, lounge at a swanky beach club, enjoy two rooftop bars and try innovative numbers from our favourite drinking dens. Presenting our list of Hot New Bars in November.

Hot New Bar: The Garden Club

Exhausted your list of bars in the CBD for after-work tipples? The Garden Club is where you should be. This gorgeous spot at OUE Downtown Gallery is a great rooftop escape to unwind or catch up with the crew. The tropical cocktails come in the most vibrant colours, and along with craft beers, wines and champagnes, they make perfect props against the lush garden terrace. And they taste so darn good, too!

Sweet tooths will enjoy the refreshing Rasa Sayang, a flavour explosion of white wine, lychee, lemon soda, topped with dry rosebuds. The Jalisco Sunset, a margarita remix of some sort is concocted with tequila, lime juice, pineapple juice and cilantro. Finally, guzzle down a Kensington Cooler, a floral and fruity blend of Hendrick’s gin, Earl Grey, honey, lemon juice and dry lavender buds. Feeling peckish? Tuck into small plates such as grilled king oyster mushrooms, smoked baby corn and oven-roasted beetroot and carrots. Your colleagues or friends will have no excuse to skip the next drinking sesh!

Hot New Bar: Rumours

Hedonists, make your way to Sentosa for endless jamborees ‘cos one of Bali’s hottest spots, Rumors Beach Club, is coming to town. The latest outpost (which officially opens its doors on 15 November) is the only beach club in Singapore that has three swimming pools and even offers a VIP area with your own private pool. Sip on the exclusive cocktail Sea-Loso Affair, feast on Jimbaran-style seafood and party like it’s your birthday. You know where to find us!

Corona has launched a petite edition of its Mexican pale lager. The Coronita is smaller (it’s a 210ml bottle) compared to its big brother the Corona, which is a good 355ml but still retains its light, refreshing flavour. Margarita lovers can make it fancy by ordering a CoronoRita to get the best of both worlds. Enjoy the drink at Blu Jaz Cafe, Chimichanga, Chimi’s, No. 5 Emerald Hill, El Mero Mero and Senor Taco.

One of the best bars at Ann Siang Hill, Nutmeg & Clove celebrates our five ethnic groups in its hot new menu: Flavours & Memories Vol. 3 “Tasty Origins of the Five Pillars”. The 12-drink line-up plays on classic cocktails influenced by cuisine and drinks from Indian, Peranakan, Chinese, Malay and Eurasian communities. If you’re all about the umami flavour, Lemak Martini ($23) is your poison. Inspired by nasi lemak, the martini is concocted with nasi lemak rum distillate, dry vermouth, anchovies, peanuts and sambal keropok.

Love to combine sweet and savoury flavours? The Golden Duck ($23) – yes, named after the popular salted egg chips brand – will interest you. Buttered Remy Martin VSOP is mixed with The Golden Duck salted egg chips, fried laksa leaves and chilli powder.
