Vintagewknd x Aloha Beaches

All month
In case you didn’t know, Bugis has transformed into a beach club of sorts, complete with a sand-filled lounge, pastel palm trees and beach umbrellas. And what’s a beach party without resort wear? Vintagewknd’s got your back with vintage Hawaiian shirts to occasion dresses from the 50s to 80s. Another advocate for sustainable fashion, the pieces are derived from factory deadstock, excess and upcycled vintage material.

Design for Asia – Design dialogue, pop-up store and opening party

4 June onwards
The Design for Asia awards is coming to Singapore and you know what that means – plenty of creatives in one room with interesting topics to discuss. Come and witness guest speakers, including founder Arnault Castel of multi-label store kapok, share their views on propagating Asian values in the design industry from 6pm-7.30pm. The evening continues with an opening party for a three-month pop-up in collaboration with kapok; featuring winners from the Design for Asia Awards. Wheeler’s Market

Wheeler’s Market reels in again with all your shopping, eating and partying needs. Hop over to the northside for a full day of discovering artisanal collections and collectables from local brands (we hear there are over 22 local vendors!). The Great Singapore… wait a minute, we’re looking at the great Singapore swap. If you go home to a closet overflowing with clothes – and rarely don half the pieces in it – swapping is the way to go. All you have to do is register for a small fee at The Fashion Pulpit, drop off your clothes before swap day and get ready to bag cool items from Matter, Boheme Style Nomads and more.

We’re pretty sure you can’t miss the tailoring bar where you’ll get first dibs on the latest fabrics, customised designs and limited edition printed linings before its collection launch next week. Menswear labels like Gaius Walks, Talking Toes, Kisetsu, Graye, Arcade Men, Valour, Holtan Vibes and Journal Projects are also in the mix. But wait, there’s more.
