Hone your balance, stamina, flexibility, and endurance at these top yoga studios in the city

Breathe. Meditate. Relax…which would be way easier to do if you could only find the right yoga place amidst the many gyms and studios out there! Zen-seeking warriors, have no fear: we’ve ommed our way to enlightenment. Here’s your cheat sheet to navigating through all the yoga studios in Singapore.

Best yoga classes for small groups

COMO Shambhala

Here, it’s all very personal: each class is tailored to your progress and needs. Recovering from a medical condition? Sign up for a private class. Their studios might be small, but they’re well equipped and this also means small class sizes with greater focus.
COMO Shambhala Urban Escape, Delfi Orchard, 402 Orchard Road, #06-01/02, Singapore 238876, p. 6304 3552.

Sage House

Sitting on your bum all day is bound to affect your posture, mind and spirit. Add fatigue and stress and you’ve got a recipe for disaster. Lucky for us, Sage House has come up with a great formula to strengthen the body and mind. Strength, agility, grounding, expand and shine are the names of the game. Sage House offers one-on-one vinyasa style yoga so the pace is modified according to suit you. Attend a few classes and you’ll be on your way to a zen you.
Sage House, 2F Dunbar Walk, Singapore 459272

OhmSantih Yoga

It doesn’t get anymore intimate at OhmSantih Yoga. With less than six students per class, you get a bang for your buck by attending personalised yoga sessions that are catered to your needs. Need to work on your poses or test your abilities at an advance level? Breathe, drip, stretch and repeat with the folks at OhmSantih Yoga. Teacher training courses and workshops are also available should you be bitten by the “ohm” bug.
OhmSantih Yoga, 50A Bussorah Street, Singapore 199466

Yoga Mala

Located in the CBD, Yoga Mala’s a haven for urbanites – if you’re hankering quiet time, you’re welcome to drop in at your convenience. Though it lacks the flashy facilities of large chain studios, the space is intimate and classes are kept small for personalised attention. To kick off a busy workday on the right note, book a morning class to get into a calm headspace.
Yoga Mala, 49A Circular Road, Singapore 049404, p. 6803 5031

Tirisula Yoga

Tirisula Yoga is the place to get serious about yoga – it is, after all, where aspiring gurus come to train. Here, group classes are limited to three to five people, so you’ll receive the maximum attention you’ll need to improve your postures. Instructors emphasise on proper breathing techniques so you’ll learn how to control your energy flow – a skill often neglected in bigger group classes of swankier studios.
