If my friends get a dollar every time I say “I love bubble tea”, they would all be millionaires by now.

Yes, I LOVE bubble tea.

Even after I’ve seen this video:

So much that I place every bet that I take on bubble tea. And I’m willing to bet on my bubble tea that all boba lovers are as excited about this cake as I am.

DIY Bubble Earl Grey Cake

If you’ve been to countries like Thailand, you’d know about FamilyMart, a Japanese convenience store that competes with 7-Eleven.

Lest you’re not aware, they’ve recently opened outlets in Malaysia, too.

As part of their third-year anniversary celebration, FamilyMart Malaysia has introduced a sponge cake infused with Earl Grey Tea!

How classy.

And that’s not all…

You can DIY your cake for an extra SGD$0.70 by adding their brown sugar bubble tea on top of the cake.

Just LOOK AT THIS GOODNESS.

Ah Hock loved Michelle and asked her, ‘Ai stead mai?’ in the 90s. Today, he tried again but would it work? Prepare some tissue paper and watch their love story here:

The Taste

According to World of Buzz, the cake was apparently as soft and light as they had promised.

“The cake melted in our mouths as soon as we ate it.”

And surprisingly, it wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet. The brown sugar pearls were a perfect complement to the cake and made everything just right.

Overall, the folks at World of Buzz agreed that it was delicious and worth a try.

Not in All Outlets

Well, I guess the only tragedy out of the God-sent Earl Grey Bubble Tea cake would be that it’s only available at KLIA2 and Resort World Genting in Malaysia.

And you know what, I’m not letting distance get in the way of me and my love for all things bubble tea.

I’m taking a trip to KL first thing tomorrow morning.
