In November 2018, it was reported that the Sultan of Kelantan, Sultan Muhammad V, married Russian model and beauty queen Oksana Voevodina in a lavish ceremony.

Not much is known about the couple until Oksana, who goes by Rihana Oksana Petra now, started her official Instagram page on June 4.
Married in June last year
While photos of their wedding ceremony went viral in late November 2018, Oksana revealed in an Instagram post that the couple actually got married way before that.
Calling it the “birthday of our family”, Oksana and her the Kelantan Sultan were solemnised on June 7, 2018.
Birth of first son
Oksana also shared that they recently welcomed their son, Tengku Ismail Leon Petra Bin Tengku Muhammad V Faris Petra, on May 21, 2019.
This is their first child.
Caring husband & father
And it seems like Sultan Muhammad V has been an involved parent from the very beginning.
In another Instagram post, Oksana shared that he gave her “increased attention, gifts and care” during her pregnancy.
Didn’t know he was a King
While the couple has been keeping their relationship under the wraps for a while, Oksana finally shared the story of how they met.
According to Oksana, they first met somewhere in Europe in the spring of 2017.
They met over dinner through jeweller and founder of Jacob & Company, Jacob Arabo.
When Sultan Muhammad V introduced himself then as the King of Malaysia, Oksana thought it was a joke.
“I took it as a joke and joked back that I was also the queen of Moscow.”
Gave up modelling contract
They talked all evening and exchanged phone numbers before they parted ways.
Oksana shared that they communicated with one another every day and wanted to meet each other again.
However, they couldn’t due to her modelling contract and the fact that they lived far from each other.
Soon, Oksana went to Malaysia with her mother following Sultan Muhammad V’s invitation.
She mentioned that they were “fascinated by this country” and had a “great time” together.
Oksana apparently turned down a one-year modelling contract in New York after her now-husband confessed his feelings for her.
And the rest, as they say, is history:
“That was the beginning of our beautiful love story. Now Malaysia is the native land of my son, and I am very happy when I look at our baby that I made the right choice that time.”
